International Volunteer Recognition Day 2026 was marked in Dublin with the 6th edition of the HELP Awards, hosted by the Church of Scientology & Community Centre of Dublin to recognise community service across Ireland. Volunteers, community leaders, human rights advocates and changemakers gathered for the event, which HELP also welcomed previous honourees.
Frank Allen, previous awardee, playwright, director and former Dublin Prisons teacher, gave the keynote address. Awardees included Walk And Talk with Stephen Brennan, the Kurdish Community of Ireland with Mokthar Moradi, the Indonesian-Irish Association with Irene Murphy, Scoil Rince Ní Áogain with Denise Egan, Nicolae Dulea, Joseph Orgin and Feljose Shristeca, Stefano Bonvini, Mohammed Rashid from Safco Fine Foods, Mass Events Ireland, Dr. Mahesh Baj and Neera Baj.
Founded in 2019 by the Scientology Volunteer Ministers, the HELP Awards recognise people and organisations making a difference through volunteer action. The awards reflect the wider mission of the Scientology Volunteer Minister programme, created by author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard, through which trained volunteers provide practical support in communities and during crises. The event celebrated the impact of volunteerism and the value of practical community support.
